Backyard Fun

For the first time ever, we spent the entire weekend hanging out in the backyard! Now that we actually have something to do back there - LOL. Mommy can't wait to have a patio so we can eat out there too, but for now, I'm content with a playground and my elephant sprinkler. :D

Needless to say, Mommy was a little disappointed that my very first baseball game EVER was a Cardinals game - and they weren't even playing the Cubs! (I'm sure my buddy Beckett is quite pleased though!) But how could we pass up free tickets in the Redbird Club?

So we took Grandpa to a Cardinals game and despite the Cubs not being in town - it was still fun :)

Stingray Splash

We got to take Grandpa to the zoo while he was visiting. This summer we have a new exhibit! The Stingrays! I was so excited that I wanted to go and see the stingrays as soon as we got there...but the line was so long that we decided to go see a few other things first...

Here we are waiting IN LINE at the penguin exhibit....it was so jam-packed that we actually had to wait in line to get inside! At least there are more penguins chilling outside to look at...

Most of the outdoor penguins were cooling off in their little hidey holes because it was so hot out. Here I am with Daddy wondering where all the penguins went...

After penguins, I walked around with Grandpa showing him all the different animals...

FINALLY, I got to go see the stingrays! This is one of my favorite exhibits - I've had the luck of petting the stingrays at SeaWorld but I am so excited to get the chance at our zoo!

One thing we weren't thinking about - the stingrays are fed in the same pool that we were petting them in - actually, we got to feed them ourselves! I didn't (because of my fish allergy Mommy didn't want me to touch the raw fish - EW!) but Mommy did and said it was kinda cool but kinda gross too! LOL Well, at the end of our visit, one of the stingrays splashed me and I got water all over my face and in my mouth. Of course, I broke out all over! Mommy says we will have to be more careful next time or I might not get to go back. :( Hopefully next time I won't get splashed!

We had so much fun but boy, were we tired on the way home!

Men At Work

Grandpa Matt came to visit for the long Memorial Holiday weekend! Yay! While he was here, he helped Daddy build my new playground!!! I was so excited that I couldn't wait to try out the swings even though they were still working on it...hehe

I LOVE it!!!! Thank you Daddy and Grandpa!!!!

Garden Bug

I've caught the gardening bug! I love hanging out with Mom and Dad in the garden - watering the plants is my specialty but I do enjoy weeding too. Although sometimes I get a little overzealous and Mommy and Daddy have to stop me from pulling the plants we are trying to grow! teehee
